Maritha Coetzee has a passion fo art, people and life. For her, the creative process is just as important as the end result.

"My paintings portray life and our journey through it. I also enjoy colour and symbolism. I believe art can reach where words cannot. It can cross barriers created by individual experiences, or language, culture. race, age, religion. It can stir up passion, bring hope, joy, raise awareness, and it can get people to think and act. And that is why i paint."
