Preparation

Use 100g of powder and 1L of cold water. Blend sauce powder to a paste with a little of the water. Bring the remaining water to the boil, add paste while stirring continuously. Bring sauce to the boil and simmer for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.



For 5L of sauce, use 500g powder and 5L water.

For 10L sauce use 1kg (1tub) powder and 10L water.

Brown Roux (30%) [wheat flour, hydrogenated vegetable fat (palm fruit) (contains antioxidant TBHQ), colourant (E150c)], wheat flour, starch, salt, sugar, hydrolysed vegetable protein, tomato powder, maltodextrin, partially hydrogenated vegetable fat (palm fruit) (contains antioxidant TBHQ), colourants (E150d, E110, E124), flavourings, flavour enhancers (E631, E627, E920), yeast extract, radurised dried spices, radurised dried herbs, vegetable oil (palm fruit) (contains antioxidant TBHQ).

Productiveness

Yields 10L of sauce.

Tips

Brilliant for pie fillings, gravy with pies, chips and KNORR Mash Flakes. For a richer sauce, add a knob of MARVELLO for gloss and richness.
