Golden, crispy, creamy mashed potato filled with cheese and coated in a crunchy breadcrumb shell – the ultimate comfort food with a deep-fried twist!

Preparation

  1. Method

    1. In a pot, bring water to a boil. Add butter and Knorr Aromat Original. 
    2. Mix the Knorr Professional Mash Flakes and flour, Robertsons Smoked Paprika, chives and flour.
    3. Using a spatula, mix the mash flake and flour mix into the boiled water until it forms a ball of dough. Remove from heat. 
    4. Let it cool to room temperature. 
    5. Once cooled, mix dough with cheese, roll into cigar shapes, put onto a non-stick tray and chill in the fridge for 30 min.
    6. Dip into egg wash and coat with dry Knorr Professional Mash Flakes. Fry till golden brown in a deep fryer at 180 °C.
    7. Garnish with a sprinkle of Robertsons Smoked Paprika and chives.
  2. Chef's Tip

    1. You can also roll the dough into bite-size balls and deep-fry.
