Walnut Layer Cake

| 30.00 | ml | Golden syrup |
| 50.00 | g | Sugar, Brown - fine (Cassonade) |
| 2.00 | pc | Eggs, large (class A) |
| 125.00 | g | Self raising flour |
| 50.00 | g | Walnuts, skinned |
| Icing of choice | ||
| Extra walnuts, toasted |
Preparation
1. Beat MARVELLO, sugar and golden or maple syrup together until light and creamy.
2. Add the eggs one at a time and beat well
3. Fold in the flour, baking powder and walnuts, and mix until smooth.
4. Pour the mixture into 2 greased, lined 25cm diameter cake tins, and bake at 180ºC for 35 minutes or until firm.
5. Turn out onto a cake rack and cool
6. Ice the cake with butter icing or cream, and decorate with toasted walnuts.
