125.00gMARVELLO Full Fat Spread 30 x 500g 
30.00mlGolden syrup
50.00gSugar, Brown - fine (Cassonade)
2.00pcEggs, large (class A)
125.00gSelf raising flour
50.00gWalnuts, skinned
  Icing of choice
  Extra walnuts, toasted

Preparation

1. Beat MARVELLO, sugar and golden or maple syrup together until light and creamy.
2. Add the eggs one at a time and beat well
3. Fold in the flour, baking powder and walnuts, and mix until smooth.
4. Pour the mixture into 2 greased, lined 25cm diameter cake tins, and bake at 180ºC for 35 minutes or until firm.
5. Turn out onto a cake rack and cool
6. Ice the cake with butter icing or cream, and decorate with toasted walnuts.
