  • 1 kg Beef mince

  • Cheddar cheese (grated) 350 g
  • 250 g Macaroni (prepared per packaging instructions and drained)
  • Onion (finely chopped) 100 g
  • Knorr Classic White Sauce 1KG

  • Sunflower oil 40 ml
  • Full cream milk 500 ml

Preparation

  1. Method:

    • Pre-heat oven to 160 °C.
    • Heat oil in a pot, add onions and fry until soft.
    • Add beef mince and Knorr Tomato Pronto and simmer for 30 min or until is has evaporated.
    • Prepare the white sauce as per packaging instructions. Add 250 g cheese and 500 ml full cream milk to the prepared white sauce, followed by the cooked macaroni and mix well.
    • To assemble: pour a layer of beef mince into a half insert and pour the macaroni mix on top.Top with the remainder of the grated cheese. Place in the oven and bake for 20 min until golden on top.
  2. Chef's Tip:

    • Ensure the white sauce is hot when adding the cheese.
    • Protein option: Substitute beef mince with chicken or lentils.
