Step 1:

  • Beef mince 1.0 kg

Step 2:

  • Mozzarella cheese 150.0 g
  • 10 Hot dog rolls
  • 150 g Cheddar cheese
  1. Step 1:

    • Pre-heat the oven to 160 °C. Finely chop the onion and parsley. Mix together all ingredients and roll into the same size meatballs. Average weight 40 g to 45 g. Bake the meatballs in a greased tray in the oven for 15 min, remove and set aside to cool.
  2. Step 2:

    • Mix together all ingredients and blitz until smooth to make the tomato sauce.
  3. Step 3:

    • Grate cheeses and combine with Robertsons Veggie Seasoning. Cut hot dog rolls halfway through from the top.
    • To assemble the meatball subs: layer the cut roll with the cheese mix, 3 meatballs, top with tomato sauce, then end with another layer of cheese mix and bake for 10 min or until the cheese has melted. Remove from the oven, package and serve.

    • Save time by pre-cooking your meatballs.

    • Replace the beef mince with chicken, pork or ostrich mince.
