Steak:

  • Rump steak300g
  • Knorr All-purpose marinade & basting
    Knorr All-purpose marinade & basting
    30 ml

Preparation

  1. Rub:

    • Combine spices, seasoning, oil and brown sugar to make a rub.
    • Pre- heat the grill for direct cooking over high heat.
  2. Steak:

    • Season rump steak evenly with rub mixture, gently pressing the rub mixture into the meat.
    • Grill the steaks over a direct high heat. Cook for 6-8 minutes for medium rare, turning once or twice.Remove from grill and allow to rest for 3-5 minutes.
    • Lightly brush the steaks with Knorr All Purpose Basting & Marinade & serve.
  3. Chefs Tip:

    • Recommended cooking times for steak:
      • Very Rare 4-5 minutes
      • Rare 5-6 minutes
      • Medium Rare 6-8 minutes
      • Medium 7-10 minutes
      • Well done - not recommended
