Step 1:

  • 1.2 kg Boerewors

Preparation

  1. Step 1:

    • Place boerewors in roasting tray. Chop onions and green pepper. Remove seeds from chilli and chop roughly. Pre-heat oven to 160 °C and cook boerewors for 15 min. Cut the boerewors up into small pieces and set aside.
  2. Step 2:

    • Heatthe oil and add the onions, peppers, Robertsons Veggie Seasoning and Robertsons Barbecue Spice and fry for 1 min. Add the Knorr Tomato Pronto, red chilli and water to the onion mixture and allow to cook on a low simmer for 20 min. Add the boerewors to the tomato mix and cook for a further 5 min.
  3. Step 3:

    • Remove from the heat and serve with savoury pap or samp and beans.
  4. HInt:

    • Save time by pre-ordering all the meat with the butchery department 1 day ahead.
  5. Chef's Tip:

    • Replace the boerewors with pork bangers or even chicken strips and add some potato and coriander.
