A twist on an original burger, this recipe substitutes waffles for burger buns. Fun and delicious!

Preparation

  1. Burger patties:

    • Pre-heat oven and deep fryer to 180 °C. For the burger patties: mix together 400g beef mince, 75g onions, 1 egg, 10g fresh garlic,60ml Knorr Professional Honey and Soy, 5g Robertsons Barbecue Spice,5g Robertsons Veggie Seasoning, 5g Knorr Professional Chicken Stock, 5g Coriander and 60g breadcrumbs, place in fridge for 30 min for flavours to infuse. Portion and press into patty shape. Wrap each patty in four rashers of streaky bacon.
    • Pan fry in little oil, and transfer to a baking tray and bake until fully cooked.
  2. Glaze basting:

    • Mix together 60ml Knorr Professional Sweet Chilli Sauce and water and baste the patties. Gratinate cheese on top of patty.
  3. Savoury waffle:

    • Mix together 500ml cake flour, 20g baking powder,10g castor sugar,1ml salt,2 eggs,375ml milk,20g Robetsons Veggie Seasoning and 60g melted butter and cook in a waffle iron.
