Steak:

  • 10x 350 g Sirloin steaks

For the Smoked Mussel Jus:

  • Onions (roughly chopped) 100 g
  • 50ml Worcestershire sauce
  • Water 1 l
  • Smoked mussels 85 g
  • Butter 50 g

  • Smoked mussels 85 g
  • Butter 50 g
  1. Steak:

    • Cook the steaks to the desired liking.
  2. For the Bacon Crumb:

    • Cook the bacon in the oven until crispy, drain well and cool. Finely chop, place in a low heat oven and dry out. Store in an airtight container.
  3. For the Smoked Mussel Jus:

    • Heat the butter in a pan, and shallow fry the onions.
    • Add the Worcestershire sauce and deglaze the pan.
    • Add the made-up Knorr Jus as per the packaging instructions and the smoked mussels, oil drained from the tin.
  4. To Serve:

    • Pour the sauce over the steak, and top with the mussels and bacon crumb.

  5. Serving suggestion:

    • ZESTY Barley and Rooting for the beets.
