  • Water or fruit juice (such as apple or cranberry) ¼ cup
  • Lemon zest 1.0 tsp
  • Honey or agave syrup (optional) 1.0 tbsp
  • Ginger juice, fresh, (optional) ½ tsp

Preparation

  1. Method

    1. Prepare the fresh lemongrass by removing the tough outer layers, finely chopping the inner stalk, and lightly crushing it to release its essential oils.
    2. In a small saucepan, simmer the lemongrass in water or fruit juice over low heat for 5 – 7 min to extract its delicate citrusy aroma.
    3. Strain the liquid to remove the lemongrass fibres, then mix the infused liquid into theCarte D'OR Wild Berry Sauce. Return to heat.
    4. Add lemon zest and honey/agave syrup, stirring until smooth.
    5. If desired, whisk in fresh ginger juice for a subtle warmth.
    6. Remove from heatand let cool slightly before serving.
